This Trek is a superb and challenging trek. This trek starts from Paro Drugyel Dzong and enters Dodeyna in Thimphu. As you go north, you will enter the land of the Bjobs, yak herders. You will halt one day in Lingshi to explore valley and the Dzong built in the 17th century which once guarded the frontier with Tibet. This trek offers you an excellent view of the natural landscape including lakes, mountains, valleys, yaks, blue sheep and blue poppy. This trek is also rich in sighting rare high altitude birds such as the Spotted Eagle, Himalayan Griffon and Himalayan Monal. In addition it is also possible to see marmots, blue sheep and Takins. This trek can be done from April to November but the best months are April, May, October and November. Day 01: Arrive Paro. Day 02: Paro sightseeing and hike to Taksang. Hotel. Day 03: Start Chomolhari Trek. Camp. Day 04-11: Chomolhari trek. Camps. Day 12: End trek in Thimphu. Hotel. Day 13: Full day sightseeing of Thimphu. Hotel. Day 14: Day trip to Punakha and Wongdue.
